Portfolio

Terry McGinn, our lead designer and coder, has been working at web design casually for more than a decade. Over those many years she has developed and implemented a number of designs. Below are a few examples:

My mother and my grandmother were both Realtors and so it's no surprise that much of my webdesign focus has been on realty websites. The above designs are those that have been made for real estate agents, including my mother's first website, designed in 1998.

Reach Innovation's three major projects right now are the above sites all designed by me. With intended goal of offerring a one-stop-shop for open house listings in Kingston, Ottawa and Toronto, the sites have been designed with functionality in mind for both agents and clients. They include the ability to save searches and be notified later when new listings matching those searches are added, as well as the ability to plot and map listings and driving directions.

The above websites were designed more or less on a lark with the eventual intention of presenting them to their respective subject. I really enjoy playing with design and when I get bored I pop in to my favourite design software and work up a site or two.

The first website I ever designed is a long-gone personal website hosted on a now-defunct free website host. I was an Internet neophyte by the idea of play with HTML and joining the (then) hundreds of thousands of websites available was very exciting to me. I started blogging (called "online journals" in those days) in 1996 and I have been doing it ever since.

The above are designs for some of the non-personal blogs I have run over the years.

I am a self-proclaimed nerd and as such Star Trek has always been amongst my interests. For about a decade I participated in a series of online games for which I designed websites. They are based on the panels seen on the TV series.
